Give her pain to me

In the night she cries.

Writhes.

Into her pillow,

screams.

In the night she dies–

part

by part, her heart does

die.

Tell me what to do,

please.

How can I take it

all?

Give her pain to me,

please.

She’s too beautiful,

kind.

In the night she cries,

and

I die part by part.

    • You are absolutely right. Motherhood is a special club. Only a mother can totally “get it.” You nurture these beautiful gifts inside of you…inside of you, they are safe. Outside of you, you continue to do your best to keep them safe. The mother/child bond is gorgeous beyond words.

    • Thank for reading, and commenting. Also for following. My daughter has generalized anxiety disorder, and we are working to get her proper treatment. I love her the most in all the world, and it crushes me to see her in such pain. I truly would take it from her if I could. It is important to me as a writer, but most importantly as a mother to talk about mental health. Peace to you. ❤
