The Sky, October Blue

Beneath a pale sun, holy houses of aged stone and painted glass stood stalwart against the sky, October blue. The couple danced, irreverent, in the chilled shadows of those great cathedrals. And they kissed, deeply, even with the taste of menthol ciggies, fried fish, and chocolate coffee clinging to their tongues.

Sea winds blew in breathtaking gusts.
