Feminism is my Realism

Because #MeToo, Motherfuckers

I’ve been abused

Been paid less cash

Called a Radical Cunt a

Bleeding Heart Liberal and

Put in my place—

Not my place, but theirs

I’ve been judged by the size of my body and clothes I wear

Been held back by (un)intelligent men and even stupider women

Who mock my Heart and Common Sense—

Slammed by Pseudo-Brain influenced by Meme Culture

I am Organism polluting the Cesspool

Feminism is my Realism

Feminism is my Realism

Because if I had been paid my 80 cents on the dollar

For every time I have been called

Bitch

Since I was 12 years old

I’d be in the damn 1%

Told my whole life

That I am

Too angry

Too emotional

Too loud

Oubliette: Sir Eric Syrdal & Lady Kindra

Oubliette

The march began on meadow land,

where I keep house ‘neath abiding sun.

The march began, and

begot

a shadowing plague—

a swelling wake.

Of heaviest heart

bound to an iron weighted fate

t’was in a blanket of

frost

wrapped a bitter cold

ancient blade

War drums fused with beating of hooves,

quickening. Quickly, I donned my steel—

took up arms to greet

my foe.

My lea, made tundra,

sparked flame in me.

Dreams of the past

like crackling tinder, fueled

bone upon bone, grinding

piston steam

a great war machine moved

making deep runnels in the earth

building upon dirges in my head

Antecedent episodes of

kinfolk carnage, unforgotten

has now begotten

the Great Rise—

Hearken!

The dead do toll, and

vengeance is nigh.

Up from the earth

rising on a chorus of black wings

an unkindness masses

takes flight

a carrion feast!

they will sup upon those

we will come to forget

Petitions (A Collaborative Piece)…

Thank you, Sir Eric, for getting this band of terrific writers together. It was a pleasure to be included. ❤

My Sword and Shield....

I am so pleased to present this work of art and I am lucky to have been a part of this collaborative effort.  To be in the presence of such wonderful poets is a true honor.

I encourage you to follow the links attached to their names and visit their own pages. Wonderful wonders to be found there…

Eric:

By night’s dark embrace
I light these candles of petition
and speak unto my heart
on my knees in the moonlight

Hear me
oh crimson guardian in my breast
engine of my life
ever the drum beat that underlies
the story of my days
I beseech thee,
do not fall for such a cause as this
you know I have no choice in these matters
but to plunge headlong
hand in hand
together to our end

and I grow so weary of falling

Christine:

By night’s dark embrace
I light these…

Edge of Mercy: a collaboration with 1Wise-Woman

tumblr stars

Cleanse me in stardust,

And I might apprehend love,

Cosmically;

For I’ve been shipwrecked,

Cataclysmically—

Marooned inside of mine

(K.M.A.)

Love screams behind

Clenched teeth

Just out of reach

Swallowed by time

Solitary supernova

Catastrophically

Unaccompanied

(1Wise-Woman)

Claustrophobic frenzied

Heart rattles my ribcage—

A prisoner imprisoned by

Distortions of love lost to

A realm intangible

Cerebral cruelty

(K.M.A.)

Calamitous heartbreak

Emaciated emotion

A last plea

Romancing the edge of mercy

Waves wash over me

Exhorting

Gracious galaxy

Essential escape

(1Wise-Woman)

Deserted, I lay in the sand and

Look up to the heavens

See the bright, desolate beauty—

Silver blue dots printed upon the black

My jailer knows no more bounds than my sorrow

(K.M.A.)

Saline azure sky

Corona Borealis and

Moons melancholy malice

Torments this love torn tabernacle

On the precipice of redemption

Before night is done

Echo gods call with

Shooting star shattering shackles

(1Wise-Woman)

Selene, Titan deity—

Mother Moon, usher of diamond dust

I am cleansed

(K.M.A.)

Love, a winged steed

Lighting the way

I am freed

‘Nevertheless, She Persisted’: A Shield Maiden Collaboration

A Shield Maiden collaboration today on SD. I have to say, I am honored to be in the company of these women. Their strength emboldens me daily. Thank you, Sudden Denouement for you support and encouragement. ❤ Peace, K-Love

1Wise-Woman

Her words, her will, her worth
Trampled and trodden
Forgotten
But for her
Flickering light
Fueled by ferocity
Molded with might
Courage compiled
Resilience reconciled
Wolves wryly grin
Circling again
Nevertheless, she persisted

Christine Ray

She was told little girls
should be seen, not heard
but silence was suffocating
truth twisted in her stomach
razor sharp
when her voice finally rose
from a whisper
to a roar
they tried to drown her out
their indignation a cacophony
Nevertheless, she persisted

Aurora Phoenix

her initial protestations
propelled by burning bile
bubbling pique
in a voice squeaky
with disuse
were dubbed whining
she scrubbed corrosion
from rusted tongue
flexed, strengthening
articulate exclamation
strident
castrating
they proclaimed her
nevertheless, she persisted

Kindra M. Austin

Disregard your heart, they said
Faith is for the fools
Chasing gold; bold are the weak
Dream seekers
Dreams don’t raise children
Nevertheless, she persisted

Forged of Flame: A Shield Maiden Battle Song

Today on Blood into Ink: a Shield Maiden collaboration. You ladies are a blessing to me. Thank you for sharing your beautiful souls and warrior fires with me. ❤

Blood Into Ink

valkyrie

(Kindra M. Austin)

The fire that whelms me does

not consume; for it is mine

own—

I do control inferno,

a blood-borne lust to conquer

pain—

Here you come with buckets of water,

and a head distended with ego

convinced I’m a woman in distress

The fire that whelms me does

not consume; for it is mine

own—

my defense mechanism,

desire to live forged in

flame—

Shield Maiden calls for no goddamned man

(Aurora Phoenix)

these flames that fence me

char me not

they are the hungering tongues

of my animus

I spark them

cerise

feeding them on

the oxygen of my outrage

when the world crushes

upon me

you hasten forward

all suited up

toting your much touted hose

as if your stream

could touch these flames

these flames that fence me

char me not

they are the hungering tongues

of my animus

I fan them

Piss and Vinegar (collaboration with Braeden Michaels)

How-to-Be-a-Real-Estate-Investor

Before you

castrate me

Let me sew up

your cesspool

I’d rather hear

nails on a

chalkboard than

your satanic moans

see me, I’m a seamstress—

needle and thread

put away those bitch teeth

aching in your head

Before you

piss in my cornflakes

Let me shatter

and shred your

fake Barbie doll world

that lives in

my iconic kingdom

‘neath plastic skin

vinegar rivers—

acetic acid,

bitter

Before you

scream in my

volcanic ears

Let me watch

you cry as the

reality sinks deep

knowing no one

gives a shit

about your existence

I refuse to placate—

I’m the real deal

this is all your fault

to hell with how you feel

Fly guy—bar fly with Roman nose and sake soaked tongue buzzing in my ear; shoo fly, don’t bother me.

like a sip instead of a gulp,

the spider is on the cliff of my knee,

it spreads no further with

its unshaven jowls scratching the walls

of my mind; i remember camel turkish royals,

hard pack, you thanking me after i sucked

your dick,

begging me to stay when i said goodbye.

men just want a woman in their bed, any one will do.

and i like pooling alone, like a puddle of rain outside,

dreaming my chaotic dreams.

You’d followed me out to the parking lot

after my Karaoke set; ‘Rolling on the River’ was my best yet.

I let you feel me up, under the bra, under lights catching bugs,

while my hands worked overtime, pulling down your drawers.

and what wet dreams may come on the upper…

‘A BRIMFUL OF GRIM’ – Collaborative – A.G. Diedericks & Kindra M. Austin

My collab with A.G. on Sudden Denouement.

A Global Divergent Literary Collective

I walk the streets, brimful of grim

a former empath, deformed

with a Stephen Hawking-sized

black hole in my chest

At night I chisel the cemetery of us

blurred visions leave my veins with an incision

I siphon the blood back into our old skeletons

reprieve my solitude

The moon is a phantasm—

a projection of you

Your cold white face casts shadows

of me against these cobblestone streets

and up the sides of Tudor buildings—

I am a colossus,

brimful of grim

In an L.A. riot, I lie quiet

under a monochrome sun,

and listen to the unison of us—the way we were, uncanny

The earth vibrates underneath me; defibrillator, ascertain my heartbeat

Ever since you left, every woman I meet plays her part in a ménage

á trois with your mirage

I think you would love the homage
